About Object Remover
A cable across the sky, a sign at the edge of a frame or a passer-by in a landscape can ruin an otherwise good photo. Paint over the unwanted element and the server fills the gap from the pixels around it, choosing a smooth fill for plain surroundings and a texture-aware fill for busy ones, then adds matching grain so the patch does not look smeared. It is classical inpainting, so plain surroundings give the most convincing fills.
Features
- Paint-over mask editor with zoom, undo and a brush size slider
- Several areas can be painted and removed in a single pass
- Fill style chosen from how plain or textured the surroundings are
- Grain matched to the surrounding pixels so the patch blends in
- Output stays JPG, PNG or WebP, matching your upload
Limitations
- It reconstructs the area from surrounding pixels and does not invent new scene content, so large objects or busy backgrounds can leave visible artifacts.
- Photos can be up to 60 MB, 16,384 px on a side and 100 megapixels in total.
- Downloading the result needs a free account, and until you sign in the page shows a reduced preview.
How it works
- Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP photo.
- Paint over the object you want gone, using zoom, undo and the brush size slider as needed.
- Select Remove object and wait while the server fills the painted area.
- Compare the result with the original in the preview.
- Download the photo, or select Remove more from result to take out another object.
Frequently asked questions
- Small to medium things against a plain or evenly textured background, such as a sign, a cable or a stray item in a corner. Large objects, or ones that overlap detailed areas like faces and text, are more likely to leave a visible smear.
- Yes, if the area behind them is simple, such as sky, a wall or grass. The tool cannot see what was actually behind the person, so it extends the surroundings; in a crowded or detailed scene the patch will usually show.
- Brush strokes rarely reach an object's soft edge. The tool grows your painted area slightly to catch it, but if a halo remains, paint a little wider and use Remove more from result for another pass.
- Yes. Paint over each of them before you select Remove object, or take them out one at a time by loading the result back in with Remove more from result and painting the next one.
