About Merge PDF
Contracts, scans and exported reports often arrive as separate PDFs that need to travel as one file. Add the documents, arrange them with the up and down arrows, and the tool copies every page of each file, in that order, into a new PDF. The joining happens inside your browser tab, and each file can be up to 50 MB.
Features
- Joins two or more PDFs in a single run
- Reorder files with up and down arrows before merging
- Shows each file's name and size in the list
- Reports which file could not be read instead of failing silently
- Runs in the browser with no server upload
Limitations
- Each file can be up to 50 MB.
- Whole files only: to take part of a document, split it or extract its pages first.
- Downloading the merged file needs a free account.
How it works
- Drop two or more PDF files onto the upload area, or browse for them.
- Use the up and down arrows to set the order, and the cross to remove a file you added by mistake.
- Select the Merge button to build the combined document.
- Download merged.pdf once it is ready.
Frequently asked questions
- Each file in the list has an up and a down arrow. Move the files until they sit in the order you want, then merge. Pages inside each file keep their original order. To rearrange single pages afterwards, use the organize tool.
- The message names the file it stopped on. Usually that PDF is damaged, is not really a PDF, or is password protected. Remove it from the list, or try the repair or unlock tool on it, and merge again.
- No. The merge runs in your browser with a PDF library, so the files are read from your device and the result is built in memory on the page. The only step that involves an account is saving the finished file.
- Not in one step. The merge takes every page of every file you add. Extract or remove the pages you do not need first, then bring the trimmed files here to join them.
