About XML Sitemap Generator

A sitemap gives search engines a plain list of the pages you want them to find. Paste your addresses, one per line, choose a change frequency, a priority and a last-modified date, and press Generate Sitemap XML. The tool normalizes each address, removes duplicates and wraps the list in the standard urlset format. If any line is not a valid public URL, nothing is produced until you fix it, so you never copy a half-built file.

Features

  • Writes loc, lastmod, changefreq and priority for each URL
  • Removes duplicate lines and normalizes addresses before writing them
  • Rejects localhost, private and non-http addresses and names the first bad lines
  • Change frequency from always to never and priority from 1.0 to 0.1
  • Warns when the list passes 50,000 URLs or 50 MB

Limitations

  • Change frequency, priority and last-modified date are the same for every URL; edit the XML afterwards if some pages need different values.
  • Above 50,000 URLs or 50 MB uncompressed the tool warns you to split the list into several sitemaps, but it does not build a sitemap index for you.
  • Nothing is crawled or fetched: the sitemap contains exactly the addresses you paste, whether or not the pages exist.
  • Downloading sitemap.xml needs a free account; copying the XML does not.

How it works

  1. Paste your page addresses into the URLs box, one per line; three example addresses are there to start with.
  2. Pick a change frequency, a priority and a last-modified date, which apply to every URL in the list.
  3. Press Generate Sitemap XML.
  4. If an error names invalid lines, fix them and generate again, because the output stays empty until every line is valid.
  5. Copy the XML, or download it as sitemap.xml and upload it to your site.

Example input

<url>
  <loc>https://example.com/</loc>
  <lastmod>2026-01-01</lastmod>
  <changefreq>monthly</changefreq>
  <priority>0.8</priority>
</url>
