About Website SEO Checker
Enter a public URL and our server downloads the page's HTML, follows redirects, looks for robots.txt and a sitemap, and runs a fixed set of rule-based checks on what it received. The report gives an overall score from 0 to 100, twelve weighted category scores, and a table of every check with its evidence and a suggested fix. Two extra panels list observable signals for AI search readiness and trust. The score comes from this tool's own rules and is not a search engine ranking.
Features
- A score from 0 to 100 with a bar for each of twelve weighted categories
- Checks from technical SEO and indexability to images, structured data and accessibility
- Evidence and a recommendation shown for each check
- Reads robots.txt and checks a sitemap listed in it
- Read-only share link for a finished report
Limitations
- Only the HTML the server receives is analyzed. Content added by JavaScript after the page loads is not seen, because the audit does not run a browser.
- One page per run: the audit analyzes at most 2 MB of the page's HTML, follows up to 5 redirects and waits up to 15 seconds for the page.
- The score is this tool's own weighted rule set. It is not a Google ranking score and does not predict traffic.
- Each IP address is limited to 5 audits per minute, and a repeat audit of the same URL within 5 minutes returns the cached result.
How it works
- Enter a public page address; https:// is added if you leave it out.
- Press Analyze Website and wait while the audit runs on our server.
- Read the SEO Score ring, the passed, warning and failed counts, and the bar for each category.
- Open the Detailed Audit table, filter it by status, and read the evidence and recommendation behind each check.
- Open Technical Details for the status code, response time, page size, robots.txt and sitemap findings.
- Use Re-audit after a fix, or Share this report to create a read-only link.
Example input
https://example.comFrequently asked questions
- It is a weighted average of twelve category scores built from the individual checks, with Technical and On-Page at 20% each and Indexability at 15%. It shows how many checks the page passes, not how it will rank.
- HTTP status, HTTPS, redirects, canonical and robots tags, title, description and headings, indexing headers, robots.txt and sitemap, word count and language, links, image alt text, JSON-LD, Open Graph and Twitter tags, page size, scripts, compression, viewport and several security headers.
- Neither. It requests the page directly with the AuraTools-SEO-Auditor/1.0 user agent. It fetches robots.txt only to see whether the file exists and lists a sitemap, and it executes no scripts, so client-rendered content is invisible to it.
- Yes. Share this report creates a read-only link to the computed results, and you do not need an account. The stored report holds scores and findings, not the page's HTML. Signed-in users can also file shared reports under projects.
- Yes. The audit needs our server to download the page, so the address goes there. Results for a URL stay in server memory for 5 minutes, which is why a repeat audit can show a Cached badge. The fetched HTML itself is not kept.
